Jill AdlerDirectorJill Adler, an American living in The Netherlands, received a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Georgetown University Law School, in Washington, D.C., and did post-graduate work in international law at the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva. Since 1990, she has served as Director of the East-West Parliamentary Practice Project. Ms. Adler is also a lecturer in U.S. constitutional law at the University of Amsterdam. She speaks fluent French and Dutch, and is proficient in Russian. |

Aurela Basha-IsufiHead of ProgrammesAurela Basha-Isufi studied at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of Utrecht University in 1993-1998, receiving a Masters degree in International Relations. In 1998-1999 she continued her postgraduate studies in European Relations and Management at the Amsterdam School of International Relations of the University of Amsterdam. Ms. Basha-Isufi has previously worked for the International Relations Office of the Faculty of Law of Utrecht University and the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK). She joined EWPPP in 2001. In addition to her native language (Albanian), Ms. Basha-Isufi speaks fluent Dutch, English and Italian. |

Elena SubbotinaProgramme ManagerElena Subbotina studied Romance-Germanic Philology and English at the Philological Faculty of the Lomonosov Moscow State University in Russia. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Eastern European Studies at the University of Amsterdam, including a minor in International Relations. Ms. Subbotina's previous employment includes PR work for the Foundation in Support of Presidential Programmes in Russia and programme management for SONY Russia. She joined the EWPPP in January 2003. She speaks fluent Russian, English and Dutch. |

Erik DahlProgramme OfficerErik Dahl holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam. His areas of academic expertise include Russian foreign policy and conflict resolution in the former Yugoslavia. Before coming to the Netherlands three years ago he worked for an U.S.-based international assistance organization and then as an English-language teacher in Moscow, Russia. He joined the EWPPP in March 2006. In addition to his native language (English), Mr. Dahl speaks Russian, Dutch and Spanish. |

Alexi PerinProgramme AssistantAlexi Perin holds a Master’s degree in European Studies from the University of Amsterdam. His academic interests include the populist radical right in Europe, the transition and integration of post-communist countries, and European history and culture more generally. Mr. Perin has previously worked for the City of Toronto and the International School for Humanities and Social Sciences in Amsterdam. He joined the EWPPP in January 2007. In addition to his native languages of English and French, Mr. Perin speaks Dutch, Italian and Spanish. |
