Since 1990, the EWPPP has implemented programmes in over 25 countries in Central and Eastern/Southeastern Europe, including: Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, the Russian Federation, Serbia, Montenegro & Kosovo, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan and Ukraine.
The EWPPP demand-driven programmes are created and adjusted with the assistance of Western embassies, inter-governmental organizations and reliable CSOs in target countries, along with outside expert opinion. In 2006, the EWPPP is once again expanding its geographic scope and has initiated programme development for North Africa and the Middle East.
